Photographers Narrative

This was my second Operational Readiness Exercise since becoming a photographer at the 1st Fighter Wing at Langley Air Force Base, Virginia.  I was struggling to determine precisely what moments were worth capturing.  In the chaos of Airmen processing through a simulated deployment line, there was not much time to relax.  For those brief instances, people found a way to maximize their downtime.  I wanted to capture this lone individual who somehow read despite the exercise and noise of a busy flight line.  The moment didn’t last long; just a few minutes later, he was back to work.
