Photographers Narrative

This photo is from Combat Leaders Course at Camp Bullis, Texas. We just finished clearing the last building during an urban warfare exercise and Horning went out the front door that wasn’t checked and he triggered a simulated improvised explosive device which threw dust and dirt all over him.  He didn’t expect it at all, and after the scenario was finished he was laughing it off with his fellow Security Forces Airman as he reflects the mistake he made.
