Wing Walker

U.S. Air Force Senior Master Sergeant Cecil Martin of the Missouri Air National Guard, 131st Fighter Wing inspects an F-15 Eagle after a Sentry Eagle 2007 mission at Kingsley Field, Oregon. Sentry Eagle, the Air National Guard's largest air-to-air exercise, provides active, Guard, and Reserve pilots a forum to test their flying skills, including basic fighter maneuvers and air combat tactics against different types of aircraft. Photographers Narrative

In this photograph, I wanted the viewer to notice the lines of this enormous aircraft.  I also liked that an Airman was walking the wing showing the relationship between man and machine.  The photo was taken during Sentry Eagle while Senior Master Sergeant Cecil Martin conducted a post flight check on an F-15 Eagle after a training mission. Senior Master Sergeant Martin meticulously inspected the aircraft to ensure it was fully operational and ready to fly again.
