Photographer's Narrative

As I prepared for work early one morning lightning bolts shot through the sky. This was a moment I had been waiting a while for. Capturing images of lighting can be challenging but when done correctly can make for an interesting image. That morning the A-10 Thunderbolt assigned to the 442nd Fighter Wing where stacked on the ramp. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect setting. I set up for the shot that I wanted and began working. My favorite part of this photo is the fact that if you look closely you can see the lightning bolt graphic on the tail of each aircraft. This was a fun and different way to depict Air Force hardware and airpower.
