Photographer's Narrative

It always amazes me how powerful portraits can be. As I took this candid portrait of a U.S. Army paratrooper preparing to push out, the intense characteristics of his face struck me. There was so much depth and story there. He was so poised and seemed almost fearless. It was clear that he was ready for whatever challenge may be put in front of him.
