Photographer's Narrative

Hurlburt Field holds four Task Force Exercises each year and each time we embed ourselves with a group and document their training. This particular training was with the 1st Special Operations Security Forces Squadron DAGRE team. During this training mission they were in charge of defending a landing pad for two CV-22s to land and evacuate simulated casualties. The sun had begun setting and was giving a nice purple hue in the sky, so I laid down in the gravel and took this image of Senior Airman Manis posting security right before an Osprey flew over blowing sand all over the place.
