An AC-130J Ghostrider flies past the flightline during an airfield seizure demonstration, Aug. 26, 2015, at Hurlburt Field Fla. More than 20 civic leaders toured Air Force Special Operations Command as part of the Secretary of Defense’s Senior Leader Engagement Program Aug. 26-27 here. This program has exposed hundreds of national public opinion leaders to each branch of service since 1948, growing their knowledge in both military and national defense issues. Photographer's Narrative

This photo was shot during the Secretary of Defense's Senior Leader Engagement Program tour at Hurlburt Field. One of the last events of the day occurred while the sun was setting and consisted of Special Tactics members seizing Hurlburt Field's airfield. An MC-130 flew past the rising moon and set up this shot right before Air Commandos began jumping from the back. I felt this encompassed the Special Operations rhetoric "Under the cover of darkness" and took the rare opportunity to shoot ST members doing what they do best.
