A little about Me

Senior Airman Rafael Morfin joined the Air Force in 2011, starting out as a Health Service Manage-ment apprentice before transitioning to the Reserves in 2014. He injured his back while going through the grueling Tactical Air Control Party training pipeline, limiting his range of motion which impacted him emotionally, eventually leading to his diagnosis of MDD. Rafael says that being around other Wounded Warriors has helped him find happiness, “They make me realize the we’re family and that God has a purpose for everyone and some tests are tougher than others.” He went on to say that he feels truly humble to represent the Air Force, “Sometimes I feel like it’s a dream that I actually have a chance to be around such great people in such a big, important event like the Warrior Games.”
