A little about Me

Tech Sgt. Larry O’Neil Jr. joined the Air Force Reserves in 2001 as an Information Management apprentice, retraining into Security Forces in 2005. He deployed to Kirkuk AB, Iraq in 2006 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, providing protection for over 5,000 coalition personnel. Following that deployment he augmented Pope AFB, SC Security Forces, de-escalating multiple domestic violence incidents while protecting innocent victims from potential harm. He says, “It means a lot to me to represent the Air Force, Air Force Reserves, and the 920th Rescue Wing and Security Forces Squadron here at Patrick AFB. I want to bring awareness to the Air Force Wounded Warrior Program as a whole.” Larry’s involvement in adaptive sports have helped him improve his quality of life and he says he looks forward to seeing how far it will take him.
