A little about Me
Airman First Class Chris Osborne joined the Air Force in 2013 as a Security Forces Defender, heading to Vandenberg AFB, Ca. following initial training. He was responsible for supervising security of critical space launch complexes, security over $8B of resources. During his assignment he supported three satellite and missile defense launches, protecting $560M in Air Force assets. Following his injury he was reassigned to the Airmen Medical Transition Unit (AMTU) at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas where he continues with recovery and rehabilitation. He feels that AFW2 provided him other avenues towards his recovery saying, “They gave me activities outside of the ones I was doing for rehabilitation which improved my morale and gave me a goal. I was always active, but now that I’ve got problems with my hips it has become difficult. Now I can play sports and get more active which I know will help me out in the long run.”
