A little about Me


Captain Kelly Patterson commissioned in the Air Force in 2011 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Aerospace Engineering serving as an Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle Training. She was directly responsible for the successful launch of 8 Atlas V missions in support of Operation Enduring Freedom securing critical satellite communications for warfighters. Captain Patterson has distinguished herself many times during her stellar Air Force academic career, top of her graduating class and ranked number one in undergrad Space Training, she is now distinguishing herself as a top sports athlete and will represent the Air Force at 2017 Warrior Games competing in cycling, swimming, and field. She says, “AFW2 provided a family of warriors in similar recovery process and helped me to overcome some of my own challenges. They also gave me the motivation to train harder with the coaching staff helping me figure out what I was doing wrong in my technical skills which has helped reduce pain levels and increase my endurance.” Kelly says representing the Air Force at Warrior Games, “Is a great opportunity, along me to express my pride in the cohesiveness of this team and will allow me to advocate for others in the same situation as I am.”
