Lieutenant Colonel Leonard Richardson examines a young patient while serving in a humanitarian operation in Belize. While its title points to the wonderful legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen, this painting also resonates in the context of the Profession of Arms and our Core Values. It depicts the selfless dedication of Airmen around the world who give of themselves in every theater, and offer humanity and a helping hand alongside their professionalism and expertise.
General Ronald Fogleman created the CSAF Professional Reading Program in 1996 to develop a common frame of reference among Air Force members -- officers, enlisted, and civilians -- to help each of us become better, more effective advocates of air and space power. Each CSAF since then has enhanced and continued the Professional Reading Program.
