Photographer's Narrative

 

Okay, so technically this is a selfie. We had an in-flight emergency immediately after take-off and had to divert to get the F-16 Viper on the ground quickly. Unfortunately this took us through some bad weather. I noticed the rain coming over the canopy and thought it might make for a cool photograph. In this situation, focusing on making photographs calmed me and took my mind off the fact that we might have to punch out over Guam.
