Photographer's Narrative
It's not easy to stand in front of someone with a camera during a vulnerable moment. During this shoot I was worried because I didn't want to cross the line between being intrusive and ensuring that I was capturing history. I'm very concerned about peoples feeling because I want my work to bridge gaps and connect people. I feel that those suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Terminal Brain Injury (TBI) due to war deserve our understanding and support. This is another photo in the series from when I was covering the Lt. Dan Band concert. I spent the entire week with wounded warriors, supporters, and their families. I established a rapport with them that I will always value.
