Photographer's Narrative

I've always taken photos of this event (the boat regatta) and wanted to do something different. Those who know me well know I cannot swim. However, I had a mental image of what I wanted to capture so I decided to go for it – I went in the water, chest deep, to capture the teams passing me by. At one point, I was yelling at some team members to watch out, since I couldn't swim and didn't want to get my camera wet.
