A flight of F-16s soar over an audience of more than 45,000 during the Boy Scouts of America 2010 National Scout Jamboree at Fort AP Hill, Va., on July 31. The massive group of boy scouts from all over the world came to the 12,000 acre site for 10 days to participate in the Jamboree and celebrate the Boy Scouts 100 year anniversary. Photographer's Narrative

I was on temporary duty at Fort A.P. Hill, Virginia, to cover the 2010 National Scout Jamboree, which celebrated the 100th Anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America. Toward the end of the jamboree, Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates, who was an Eagle Scout, addressed the audience of more than 45,000. After his speech, there was a flyover and that was when I proceeded to take the photo.
