Photographer's Narrative

This was shot during the National Anthem at an Air Force Cross and Silver Star Medal ceremony for three special tactics combat controllers at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.  This was a rewarding experience because I was able to help spread the word about men who deserved recognition for their honorable actions while deployed. They saved the lives of nearly a hundred men, and due to the special operations motto of “Quiet Professionals” they would never speak about it themselves. This shot captured the patriotic display of American Airmen doing the right thing and leaders recognizing those in their command.
