Photographer's Narrative

This was shot at the end of a competitive training scenario when the group I was shadowing finishing a grueling exercise. The looks of exhausted accomplishment were apparent on everyone’s face. Their clothes were soaked and sandy, but their spirits were high. The day consisted of special tactics jumping from an MC-130 into the gulf and swimming to shore to ruck, run, call in air drops and evacuate simulated downed personnel. A grueling experience, but also an exciting one.
