Photographer's Narrative

I was given the opportunity to volunteer to provide photos for the squadron and families of Red Horse Airmen returning home. I found Staff Sgt. Ron Blodgett and had a gut feeling he would provide a priceless moment encompassing the joy of uniting with your family after six-to-eight months serving your country overseas. I connected with him due to my past deployments and emotions I felt seeing my wife after those long deployments. Empathy is key to creating emotionally moving photos.
