A little about Me

Q. What are your short and long term goals (personal, professional, recovery-related, etc.)?
A. My short term goal is to reduce my one-mile run time down to 7-minutes while my long-term goal is to do a half Iron Man.

Q. What does it mean to you to represent the Air force at Warrior Games?
A. Started my service in the Army and later crossed into the blue. Grateful for the Air Force and the support I have. They have stood by me during my recovery.

Q. What is the significance of sports/competition? How has it helped you? What does it mean to you?
A. Sports have given me the courage to get off the couch and get up and moving. Sports have given me my life back? Competition teaches me to strive and achieve goals.

Q. What advice do you have for future athletes?
A. Reach for the stars and never get up on yourself. Set little goals and take baby steps.

Q. Who has supported you in your training? How?
A. My son. Thirteen when I got injured. Had to become my caregiver at 13. Full-time. Pays all bills and grocery shops. Took on parent role. Mom…drove an hour every day to make sure I was fed and to take me to my doctor’s appointments.
