A little about Me

Q. What are your short and long term goals (personal, professional, recovery-related, etc.)?
A. Short-get healthy, continue progress on getting healthy. Long term-be able to work out five times a week without assistance.

Q. What does it mean to you to represent the Air force at Warrior Games?
A. It is an honor and a privilege, I love the AF, it is my life, my AF family. I’m super excited to be on team AF.

Q. What is the significance of sports/competition? How has it helped you? What does it mean to you?
A. I have always been very fit individual, basketball, addicted to work out. I feel better, healthier when active, the lifestyle was taken away, important to get to new normal.

Q. How has adaptive reconditioning and sports helped in your transition and recovery? What adaptive reconditioning activities do you participate in?
A. At home I can’t do certain stuff, here I can do stuff knowing there is a support system with medical and therapists. I can participate and push safely with the staff and support I need, because I am not comfortable with pushing myself physically at home. At Trials I pushed further and everyone understood and was there to support and help me recover from the day.

Q. What advice do you have for future athletes?
A. Give it a shot. The AFW2 program makes a difference, they know what we are going through and it is a special support system that goes further cause it is a warrior spirit.
