A little about Me

Q. What are your short and long term goals (personal, professional, recovery-related, etc.)?
A. Short-term, focusing on health and recovery. Taking break from school. Household crafting. Long-term, finish school, continue training. Possibly open own bakery.

Q. How did your Service’s Wounded Warrior Program (Warrior Transition Unit, Wounded Warrior Regiment, Other Service Wounded Warrior Unit) assigned or previously assigned to enhance your recovery?
A. Woke me up again. Found out through another athlete. Took a chance. Needed to come out and be around those with similar challenges. Be surrounded by so much heart.

Q. What is the significance of sports/competition? How has it helped you? What does it mean to you?
A. Always competitive and athletic. Been a part of me and helps me become my true self again. Motivates you and puts you back.

Q. What advice do you have for future athletes?
A. Try everything you can, even sports you have no clue. Try outside of your comfort zone.

Q. How has adaptive reconditioning and sports helped in your transition and recovery? What adaptive reconditioning activities do you participate in?
A. Got back range of motion and strength. So much fun and it keeps you going. Made me more social. Volleyball, track and archery.
