A little about Me

Q. What are your short and long term goals (personal, professional, recovery-related, etc.)?
A. My goals are to continue to excel in life, working hard, enjoying life, motivating others and rising through any adversity I may face. I am working for an organization that I am passionate about, AFW2! I will continue to strive for excellence, finish my education and support my fellow brothers and sisters through their recovery.

Q. Any words of inspiration/quote you would like to share with other wounded, ill or injured service members?
A. Leaders don’t create followers, they create more leaders. –Tom Peters

Q. What is the significance of sports/competition? How has it helped you? What does it mean to you?
A. I feel sports and competition gears you for life's obstacles. Things are going to go your way even when you work hard for it. However, things seem to come full circle. Lessons are learned and if you get the chance you can do better the next time.

Q. What advice do you have for future athletes?
A. My advice to future athletes is to trust the process and know that these programs are here to help not hinder. Please give 100% to recovery.

Q. How has adaptive reconditioning and sports helped in your transition and recovery? What adaptive reconditioning activities do you participate in?
A. Sports have always been a big part of my life. My older brother was my mentor and hero. He would kick my butt daily. When he passed away, sports were all I had to keep him alive with me every day. I used sports to keep focused, to build confidence and to push myself.
