A little about Me
Q. What does it mean to you to represent the Air force at Warrior Games?
A. Competing in warrior games for me is a step in the direction that I used to be in. There is a long road for recovery and just being able to compete means the world to me.
Q. Who has supported you in your training? How?
A. My family has been my biggest advocate during my recovery. To taking the time to go with me to appointments or just being there for someone to bounce thoughts off of.
Q. What advice do you have for future athletes?
A. No matter where you are in your recovery don’t look back. We have all been there but if you continue to look forward you will find yourself going in the right direction.
Q. What is the significance of sports/competition? How has it helped you? What does it mean to you?
A. To be able to compete against other athletes helps me with recovery and looking forward. It also reminds me that even though I may be broken I can find adaptive ways to get back to the normal life.
Q. What are your short and long term goals (personal, professional, recovery-related, etc.)?
A. Short term goals are to continue and finish my Bachelor’s degree in Forensics. My long term goal is continue to improve on my mental and physical condition.
