About The Art Piece

Commissioned by Pratt & Whitney military engines and presented to the Air Force Art Collection, this Ferris oil painting on canvas, Powering Freedom, depicts current key US Air Force aircraft powered by Pratt & Whitney engines. These are the F-35A lightning II in the foreground, the F-22 Raptor next, followed by the F-16C Block 52, the F-15E Strike Eagle and in the distance, the C-17. All are over the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Cape Hatteras.
