Photographers Narrative

When I was assigned to document the military working dog program, at the time I didn't realize how the imagery I captured would impact the perception of the American people. Reports were coming out questioning the morality of the program and how the military treats animals. My imagery showing the complete cycle of training the dogs go through, starting as puppies, actually helped form a positive opinion of the program and what it helps to accomplish. For this image, I wanted to show the intensity of the moment in a way most people don't see it. This image gives a different perspective on the everyday, ordinary activity.
