Photographers Narrative

The first-ever Warrior Games held at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo., was fascinating to me.  It was not only a chance for the Department of Defense to genuinely show they still care about wounded veterans, but also it gave veterans the largest stage possible on which to showcase their talents. The bonding I saw between services was only rivaled by the competitive spirit of each athlete for their chance to show their brothers and sisters in arms, along with their family, what they've been training hard to do. This shot showing all four services shows just how tight each event was at the Warrior Games, but also shows how all athletes triumphed.
