Photographers Narrative

During my time in Afghanistan I was able to tell one Airman story about how he was building trust of the local populace and protecting the base. While on patrol of the villages outside the base perimeter a small boy approached Oas with significant burns with infections on his leg. Without proper medical care it was certain this child would lose his leg or even die. During the deployment he treated the young boy burns and by the end of his tour the wounds healed significantly.
